Considering I got this music the day before Mass, and that Carissa and I got about 10 minutes of practice in a half-hour before Mass began, this turned out pretty well: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring.
Le Introit: Rejoice Ye, Jerusalem. Singing Gregorian chant with English words is awkward. It simply does not work well.
Very few people knew this hymn, but Husband says that people were catching on by the fourth (and last) verse: Rejoice, the Lord is King.
Psalm - The Lord is My Shepherd
Were I singing this, I would have used "Man's": Jesu, Joy of Our Desiring.
J. S. Bach - Fantasie in G minor (BWV 542-1). I'll be playing this, along with the matching fugue, at my Senior recital. Still have some bugs to work out.
