Mass this evening seemed especially reverent. Perhaps it was the starkness of the atmosphere after the reading of the Passion. When the Gospel Acclamation was finished, I turned off the organ and closed it. The rest of Mass was a capella.

The device in question is a bit too rich for my blood, but very, very cool. Yes, I do way too much (legal) copying for my own good, but it's better than buying an iPad for each of the choir members. :) Husband has an iPad, which I used to read medical websites after my last hospitalization.
(My dirty secret is that despite the degree and all, I'm a bit of a technological Luddite. Go figure.)
I attended an organ recital a few months ago where the organist scanned all his music onto a computer, then played from a monitor on the music rack. He pushed a button with his foot to turn pages. That's a lot of work just to avoid having a page turner.
