Next week is Palm Sunday, so this is mostly the end of our Lenten music.
I love "O Sacred Head." What a beautiful hymn. The Blue Book lists it under "Good Friday" but everyone knows there's no instrumental music allowed on Good Friday, RIGHT? Hehe. I don't get to participate on Good Friday anyway, so this is our opportunity to sing it.

I wondered why only the refrain of "Parce Domine" is printed in the blue book. After performing it, I know why; those verses are a PAIN, and a congregation would necessarily make a mess of it.
