The Koran Challenge

I've played this TOO MANY TIMES on Catholic Caveman, so doggone it, I'm putting it here instead.

In my much younger and much, much stupider days, I dated a Muslim who admitted that he would beat his sisters for not drying the dishes correctly. Nice, eh?

His peer group was WELL-REPRESENTED by the Muslim behavior in this post from TH2.

Caveman was the first Catholic blogger I came across when I first started to explore blogging and bloggers, about 1 year ago.

Thanks again for your prayers re: my last post.

I found your last post quite depressing. If you have time, check back here; I'm planning to put some sound files on throughout the month, and I hope you'll be able to enjoy them.

Indeed, I will monitor and tune in. Thank you.

I remember reading an article (by a Muslim) that referred to Mohammed as being a "peaceful man" who only engaged in confrontations "when absolutely necessary". I laughed.

It really does strike me how exceptionally sugarcoated the popular portrayal of Mohammed is (or...non-portrayal). Having read at least a bit of Mohammed's life, even I can tell that he wasn't exactly a sixth-century Gandhi--and like I said, I've only read a *little*.

But then--we wouldn't want to offend anyone, would we?

Very funny. Like I was telling someone earlier today: Humor starts with the truth!

... oh man, did I just LAUGH at something having to do with the Muslim faith? ... snap, I'm toast!
