What's interesting is that Bin Laden THEN goes on to say that the BEST way to "save the planet" is by full out STOPPING the US Economy... hmm... sound anything like what he did with Russia? He played a very large role in bringing down the Iron Curtain as well because he got Russia involved in a win-less war in Afghanistan which bled the Russians dry of money and man power. Interesting how history repeats itself, no?
Well, the fact that bin Laden wants to destroy America really isn't anything new--so in this case it's not necessarily history repeating itself, it's just another variation on a theme.
I've never heard that (about the Soviet Union & bin Laden) before--got any articles I could read on that? Sounds pretty interesting.
