For your belated earth day project, go climb into your SUV/Hummer/other non-hybrid vehicle. Diesel is good, but really any high-horsepower car will do. While in neutral, press down on the accelerator a few times, taking the RPMs up to around 5k. It's best to do this in a public place, like after just coming out from a grocery store to find that a Smart or Prius has parked beside you. Even better if the aforementioned cars have lots of Obama and GreenPeace bumperstickers.

It would be great to see reactions. Next time you do this, in parking lot... quickly take photos of reactions of vegans as you depress the pedal. You can then post the photos here on this blog. NEATO !
