Corvettes.....

It's been much too long since I put a pretty car on here, so here we go! There's an Ebay seller, Texas Auto Direct, who has a darned nice selection of affordable "luxury" cars. The Buy It Now price on both of these 2004 Corvettes is slightly less than $23K. I KNOW!

A clean, shiny black car is hard to beat. And LOOK at those wheels! Beeyootiful.

I'm not a fan of white cars, but I think this one, coupled with its GORGEOUSLY STUNNING INTERIOR, is outstanding. Look at that interior - have you ever seen a blacker black or redder red? Me likey a bit too much.

Only 23K. That seems to be a little low for asking price. But I am judging by Canadian prices. Though, I think now our dollar is nearly on par with the US dollar.

You're absolutely right - the asking prices are quite low, and that ebay store could be quite dangerous for someone with money. Since I don't even have 1K for another car, temptation isn't a concern. But it's fun to look.

Glad to hear your dollar is doing better; I had no idea. Now if we can convince our vending machines to accept Canadian coins....

Vettes, sadly, use the same material as most GM products which is... less quality than desired? Granted they have a huge V8 and enough get up and go to rattle anyone's inside bits, it's just sad that the product can't be what it ought to be in the past... AWESOME.

Sorry I'm such a downer! It depresses me too..

RL8, if you check the Consumer Reports Auto Issue, you'll see that the corvette has ratings that are generally much better than other GM products. That's why you see so many Corvettes driving around, even old ones, that are in great shape. Now on the other hand, how many Buick Reattas are still around?

Actually, Corvettes currently hold a five-star rating on Motortrend. Car and Driver magazine used the Corvette on its "Ten Best" list fifteen times--1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Automotive Engineering International selected the 1999 Corvette convertible (along with a Mercedes) the "Best Engineered Car of the 20th Century". Additionally, all Corvettes are made at an assembly plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky, right next to the National Corvette Museum. That's the only place in the entire country that Corvettes are manufactured, so it's pretty isolated from all other GM products.
