Beauty of Antiquity, pt 1








Images: Nefertari's tomb, QV66, Valley of the Queens. Favorite queen of Ramesses the Great, 18 dynasty. NOT the same as Nefertiti--both names share the common root of nefer, meaning 'beautiful'.

More or less the entire thing is Queen Nefertari's journey through the afterlife, on her way to the Egyptian heaven. That, and love poems from her husband Ramesses.
