Recordings coming eventually, I hope
Still haven't finagled web space from one of my offspring, but am hoping to accomplish that by tonight. Will also be posting some music from the wedding I played for yesterday, including perhaps a short clip of the girl in the choir loft who was loudly sucking air through her teeth, and yes I stopped mid-Bach to ask her to stop it. Besides that, the wedding was lovely, and Stephen sounded terrific as usual. Perhaps MCK will stop by and tell us about her brother's wedding yesterday in South Carolina, including all about her singing solos! Ross and Eliza got married yesterday too, in Wisconsin. Carissa cantored at both Masses this morning, which was fantastic as usual; she's moving tomorrow. So sad for us, but truly miraculous for her; she's told me several amazing details about her new job that are mind-boggling--the Lord's Hand is obvious! Next Saturday, Mass will be celebrated by the new priest in town, Fr. Mark Moore. I anticipate only good things during his tenure in Athens. As soon as this crushing headache goes away, I'll be heading to the basement to rescue more yard-sale items from the spider webs.

If your looking for extra web space, consider getting a Photobucket account. I have uploaded images, but also a video or two. So I assume audio files can be uploaded as well.
TH2, I've been granted an unanticipated reprieve; ALL of the recordings were overdriven, making them unsuitable for posting. :-(
I'll remember to check out Photobucket when I run out of offsprings' space.
There must be a way to recover the files even if overriden, and I hope not all were lost. I'm also hoping that you have your own back-ups on CD's or USB sticks.
My dear TH2, the files were overdriven (recording levels were too high), not overwritten. :) However, your comment is quite appropriate; I've lost all my old sound files from the OAK server, most of which were not backed up on my hard drive. I should not have kept my only files on the server, and it's my own fault; I've known for a while that the old server was getting shut down. Tried to migrate files today, but was too late. This site will now have many broken links. Such is life.
:( Sad day about the files! We'll just have to make new ones!!
Agreed, MCK. It's not the end of the world (yet.) Looking forward to having you back!
Next weekend! I be dere!
