Tomorrow, the homeschool mock trial club, including Four, is going to the state championships. Any prayers you can spare for the team would be appreciated. Thanks! If they make it to nationals, maybe TH2 can help him learn how give ambiguous answers to the cross attorney's questions. :)

Prayers on the way.
Advice: When questioned/queried, do not volunteer extra information. Make it like pulling teeth. Also, every so often use anomalous words and phrases like "propensity" or "juxtaposed" or "ideational framework" to throw the opponent into a momentary tailspin. Not too often, else you'll come across as too intelligentsia-like.
Sidebar: It might help to arrive at the courthouse entrance in the Shelby... ooooooo.... aaaahhhh.
Good luck, Four.
Thanks for the prayers and advice, TH2. Happily, Four has been grilled by the county prosecutor more than once, so he's had some experience with a very difficult cross attorney.
At the competition, a cross attorney asked if his character's deceased brother was "a giver or a taker." That was one of the sillier questions, though. Each cross attorney he encountered took a very different approach. The opposing team at the championship didn't really seem prepared to cross him, because they could have grilled him on some points, but didn't. The previous team they defeated also were not prepared to cross him. (I don't know how familiar you are with Mock Trial, but the team may choose from a number of witnesses. Most plaintiff teams chose an expert to testify instead of the brother of the deceased.)
No Shelby at the courthouse, but she was put through her paces just this evening. :)
