A Sailor, Soldier and Marine walked into a bar....

The Meaning of "Secure a Building" in different branches of the military:

If you told Navy personnel to "secure a building", they would turn off the lights and lock the doors.

Army personnel would occupy the building so no one could enter.

Marines would assault the building, capture it, and defend it with suppressive fire and close combat.

Air Force personnel would take out a three-year lease with an option to buy.

(Celestine's note: ...can't...breathe...laughing...too...hard....)

Ms. Celestine,

When first I found this joke I was initially amused. By the time I finished I found that I was highly disappointed, both in you and in this joke.
Airmen are among some of the most well-trained and competent personnel in the military. Consistently throughout the years the Air Force has won battles for the US directly and indirectly without the assistance of the other branches. Then I come to this blog and find that not only did you neglected to mention Airmen in the title of the post, you slammed airmen at the end. I'll have you know we take out six-year leases and buy immediately if we want it.
Sincerely,
An Airmen

A Disgruntled Airmen,

This joke was not a slur against the AF. However, even you must admit that it is very hard to secure a building from the cockpit of an F-22.

;)

Sincerely,
Celestine
