Recordings from 2/5/11 Mass

I really love this piece.  It's very depressing, yet so pretty:
Louis Vierne - Idylle Mélancolique

One of my jobs is timing the music such that we finish at 6:00 p.m., just as the bells start to ring.  Despite myself, I'm always thrilled when it happens.
Introit

Accompaniment by Ralph Vaughan Williams.  Need I say more?
O God, Beyond All Praising

A mystical air always surrounds the sung psalms at this Mass.  Anyone else notice that?
Psalm and Gospel Acclamation

The visiting priest, the diocesan vocations director, during his homily made a few disparaging remarks about the use of Latin in the Mass (you know, the way it was done in the bad old days), so I was especially pleased that this was our offertory song:
Jesu Rex Admirabilis

A new communion psalm.  We'll do this one for a few more weeks.  I love it!
Communion Psalm - I will praise your Name forever, my King and my God.

The recessional:
Praise My Soul, the King of Heaven

Shortly after I listened to the recordings, I saw a Prince William/Kate getting married ad on TV and it had the tune to O God Beyond All Praising in the background.

Some of the best I've heard so far. Like the mini text intros to each piece.
