Ave, Populi Dei!
I'm playing the organ at all three Masses this weekend. Come and sing at one or both on Sunday: 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. if you're able.
And, of course, Saturday at 6 p.m.!
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HEAR ANY SATB PARTS BEFORE REHEARSAL, PLEASE RESPOND IN THE COMMENTS.
Prelude: Ave Verum Corpus (BB 362). I may sing this myself, unless y'all would also like to chant before Mass. Because, doggone it, I like chant!! And the Church says it's preferred.
Processional: Alleluia, Sing to Jesus (BB 747)
Glory to God: Same as usual, but RECITED at 11:00 a.m.
Psalm: Respond & Acclaim, but RECITED at 11:00 a.m.
Offertory/Preparation: Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence (BB 199)
(Playing two different accompaniments last week was a real mistake, wasn't it? The harmonies didn't work with one of the versions. Now I know better.)
Holy: As usual
Communion: Sing My Tongue the Savior's Glory (BB 150)
(One of the most beautiful chants ever, IMO)
Recessional: Holy God We Praise Thy Name (BB 200)

re: Ave Verum Corpus
Well, hum! I will sing it, at least, though I don't know if there's such a thing as two people doing a chant. Oh well. Interesting thought--"Chant Duet". Hmm...
re: Pange Lingua (what? "It's a highly efficient tongue")
It is. Next to the Dies Irae, of course. But you know my feelings for that piece. By now, I think everyone does...
